I'm a horrible, horrible, blogger!
On that note, I've been working out. AND not only working out but I've been sticking to it. I think I'm going on about 5 full weeks of consistant Zumba and also I'm doing this again. I'm about to start my 2nd week and its awesome to get back into running again. I'm already down 4.5 lbs since my last dr's appointment and while I'm feeling great, I hope it continues!! On Mondays, Wednesdays AND Thursdays I do Zumba, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays I run the c25K and on Saturdays....well it ends up being my off day but I think we will start going on walks. I was lacking in the motivation department but then it hit me and I've been nonstop since. I could definately work on my eating habits a little more, but now that I've been working out I've been WAY more cautious about what I put in my mouth and have dropped Sodas like a bad habit. This is a BIG accomplishment because I had to have a Dr. Pepper or Coke daily or else I would get the biggest headache known to mankind. Now, its straight water. I do get my caffeine kick with tea occasionally but as of right now, it will work.
My nephew Robson is cutting 3 teeth, his 2 top teeth and 1 bottom. He's been a crying mess lately. Good thing Edgar and I get to watch him on Saturday! lol Also, my older nephew Michael and his girlfriend and my soon to be niece had their baby on April Fools Day. He was an 8 lbs 15 oz cute bundle of joy. His name is Landon, and while she went into labor on the 31st (which would have been my Dad's 55th birthday) he felt the need to be born on HIS AUNT's, my niece, Miranda's 13th birthday.
I also turned 25. I was sad about turning 25 the whole week leading up to my birthday. My sister cooked dinner for me. It was also a reality check when I realized it wasn't my Mom that was going to be cooking for me and that was hard to swallow. In the end, I had a great birthday and I am looking forward to what is going to happen this year. I hope its a great year for me and Edgar both. I see some really great things happening in our future.
Well....its Monday and its back to work I go. Have a great week!
P.S. Edgar and Have been keeping up with our goals for 2010 and we have seen a movie every month AND we went to see the Boston Celtics vs the Dallas Maverics in March. It was so much fun!

Update
I went to the appointment with my RE. She was WONDERFUL! I was extremely nervous and couldnt sleep the night before, and she was so calming it helped out, alot! She just let me know that she wouldn't call it an "infertility issue" because its becoming more and more common and is becoming easier to fix. She just went over some things with me and prescribed me medicine called Prolodel and told me to take that once a day. She also let me know that I needed to get onto prenatal vitamins and start charting my temperatures everyday at the same time (6 AM!) before I get out of bed. Its been pretty easy so far, even on the weekends. I've been taking the medicine at night because it's supposed cause a lot of side effects like dizziness, nausea, headaches, etc. but luckily I haven't had any of that happen to me. ::Knocks on wood!::
I had to get 8 tubes of blood taken (OUCH!) which left me bruises for 2 1/2 weeks...not even exaggerating. Then the next day I had to go and get an MRI done to see if I had those pituitary tumors. That was the scariest thing I've ever had to do! I even went to do an "open" one....but I just knew my heart was going to beat out of my chest. I counted to 100 like 17 times and then it was over. The MRI lasted about 25 minutes, and I have never felt soo relieved in my life hearing her say "ok, all done!" Music to my ears. :) I also had to get an IV so they could add some dye while they were doing the MRI which left me another bruise on my right arm that lasted a good 2 weeks, too!
Fast forward to last Wednesday, the 17th. I got a phone call from my Dr's office stating they got the MRI results and they were negative which meant NO TUMORS!! I was so happy I called Edgar immediately. It was like a big weight lifted off my shoulders. It was great to know that I wouldn't have to be struggling with that. They also told me to keep on my meds and come back March 31st for more bloodwork, to see if the meds are working.
Now, we've just been super busy with family and friend stuff. It seems like if its not a birthday, its a family gathering, baby shower, party, the list goes on and on. Oh well...that's life!
Edgar turned 24 on Valentines Day so we celebrated that with his family. Today he passed his 1st test for his CDL license which means he now has his permit and can start training on how to drive a big delivery truck. He's happy because he's moving up in the company and Im happy because its a pay increase! :)

Oh the joys of being a grown up..
- Should we still go to New York?
- Should we just wait one more year and save more money for our house purchase?
- Should we work on paying down some of our debt before we even think about the house purchase?
- Are we crazy for thinking that this is okay....to buy a house right now?
I really feel like I'm going crazy thinking about all these things. Which has led me to my next statement. We are pushing back our househunting and homebuying experience one more year. I think next year at this time, when I ask myself these questions I will be able to answer them, honestly-not with just what I want to hear. I think part of being "grown-up" is allowing yourself to take a step back and see the big picture. I want to be able to go into this major step at 100% and know we did everything we could to make sure we had the best possible chance of doing everything right. I know this is the best decision for Edgar and I and I'm sure I will be thanking myself later. But right now, I feel defeated and it sucks!

I'm alive. :)
Now back to my nephew. He was born October 15, 2009 at 10:45 P.M. Believe me, it was a very thorough delivery. That little boy just didn't want to come out. She, my sister-in-law, was at 9 cms for 7 HRS!!! They finally had to do a c-section and out popped Mr. Oh so cute and chubby Robson. He's such a handsome boy. He looks NOTHING like I would have imagined him to look, and he was 8lbs15oz. I'm so excited to be an aunt of 5 and especially to have 2 nephews now!
Not much new has occured in mine and Edgar's life. We did go and see This Is It this weekend in theatres and it was pretty damn good. We also went to my cousin's house and watched GI Joe and The Proposal, both of which we've never seen before.
Oh yea, I got a promotion at work! I am the principal's secretary, known here as the "Senior Associate". It's an awesome job, a wonderful payraise, and also I actually like to wake up in the mornings! Yes, the new promotion comes with harder tasks and multiple ones at that, but this is just what I have wanted and I caught on pretty quickly.
Okay, back to work I go. Until later.

Day of the wedding. Church Ceremony
Me, while getting ready with my Laura & Edgar 7.11.09 zip-up hoody on.

Me with my handsome nephew aka the other love of my life. I chose him to walk me down the aisle since my Dad passed away in '03 and since my Mom was no longer here either.

Michael, handing me off to Edgar.

I, Edgar, take you, Laura....

I, Laura take you, Edgar......

I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss your bride!

I proudly introduce-Mr. & Mrs. Edgar Perez!
Time to play catch up.
A very crooked picture of probably about 1/5 of the people at our rehearsal dinner. By the looks of it, this is a pic of nothing but DH's family members from Cali. I wish I would have thought to take a picture of all the cars in our backyard. WHEW! lol

Just in case....
Saturday we woke up, most importantly, NO HANGOVER!!! We went outside and cleaned out the yard. We have this idea of recycling the cans of both that party and the wedding, see how much money we can come up with! We met up with Edgar's Mom and Dad to get cases and cases of beer for the wedding. We hit up the 4th of July specials and the limit was only 2 per person, so we all went in about 3 times, including my sister and her husband! That was an experience. On Wednesday and Thursday of last week, while I was doing my own weekly run of wedding necessities, I ran into Randall's and bought a total of 63 12 packs of sodas, 58 of which were for the wedding. I mean seriously, who could beat the $1.99/12 pack special??? Here's a pic for your enjoyment.

Today, I'm working on my big centerpieces for the tables. It's soo surreal because I know that has been last on my to-do list since I started wedding planning. And I kept saying I wouldn't do it until the last week until the wedding. But guess what!?!??! It's here! We see family in 4 days and the wedding is just right around the corner.

15 days and counting...
I've been knocking things off my list left and right lately! Let's see if I can come remotely close to explaining everything I've done so far....well in just the passed couple of days.
- Went to the dentist
- Designed, copied, and folded my programs.
- Added Ribbon to my white bird cage that my Mom insisted I had for the cards.
- Started and finished both pomander flower balls for the Flowergirls, since we can't do flower petals at the Church.
- Called to make sure all the guys were fitted at Men's Wearhouse.
- Bought my white zip-up for my "Mrs. Perez est. 7.11.09" but I'm not sure when or how I'm gonna go about finishing that.
- Made Rehearsal Dinner arrangements, only to decide we aren't having one.
- Switched the rehearsal to Friday so all of the bridal party will be able to make it.
- Ordered the flowers(the only real ones) for the centerpieces. Picking them up the day before the wedding because we are doing them ourself! lol
- Bought my wedding shoes.
- Made hair and make up trial-which is today by the way.
- Bought the last of the vases that we are gonna need for the centerpieces.
- Bought another guestbook, it was mentioned that I should have one at the church and one at the reception. We thought this one looked to plain, so we took off the white ribbon and added some green and black ribbon to match the wedding. Looks good!
- Folded and dropped off the boxes at my Sis-in-laws work because her Mom is making the cookies to go inside for the favors.
- Gave Edgar's Dad a check for $300 for the alcohol, he's paying the rest.
- Paid off the hall for the reception!!!!!

playing catch-up with 32 days left....
I got my dress fixed. My Sister in law's mom did it for me. My wallet thanked her! I still need to find shoes, uhm figure how I want my hair. There are only a few things I need to complete before my wedding comes. The most exciting is that we're going to get our marriage license on Thursday. I'm anxious!!! I'm also doing summer school, and I get out at 1 now.
Here are some pictures because I know you're just super anxious....

Majorly needed update....
I'm seriously in love! The only....problem....is that it's wrapped. Yea, you read right. My Mom made me get it wrapped so I could open it up at my shower and everyone could see that she got me this amazing gift! I <3>
Yesterday, I had a wonderful shower at work. I'm not one to be the center of attention or anything so it was a little uncomfortable at first. But, I snapped out of it and realized I should enjoy. I will have to upload pics later because I'm blogging during my conference time and I need to pick up my kids in about 10 minutes. The decorations were my wedding colors, which surprised me to think people were actually listening to my responses when they would ask me wedding questions! lol One of the ladies made me a 3 tiered cake and she made it look like a little wedding cake. Soo cute!
There was talk about a honeymoon. Well since Edgar's family is coming from California and staying for a week we didn't really want to leave them here and not spend time with them. Sooo, we opted out of a honeymoon and decided we would go somewere fun and exciting to celebrate 1 year. Well, then lately we've been talking about possibly going to Vegas for about 3-4 days. Anyway, some girls were asking me about it and I was telling them. A little backstory, there's a pre-k teacher who is probably in her late 60's and she's been widowed for a while. She has 1 daughter but she doesn't come around for whatever reason so she really has no family and no one to spend her money on. She came up to me and told me she would pay for mine and Edgar's honeymoon!!!! Uhhh... yea you read it right she would PAY for it. I was in such shock and awe, I couldn't believe it. She said she would talk to me about it today because she figured I was just out of myself. Sooo, now I think we really are going to go to Vegas for like 3 days, right before Edgar goes back to work. I didn't want to take a huge honeymoon because we wanted to spend time with family, so we're going to Fly out on Friday the 18th and spend the weekend there and come back on either Sunday or Monday-we haven't decided.
So there's my recap. I'll update later with pics, I hope!
P.S.-Edgar's on speaking terms with his parents again. LONG STORY!!! I don't even want to begin to explain the whole background on that one. But, we went over yesterday and we were telling them about the gifts I got at my shower and the plans for my family shower at my grandma's. I can't believe the wedding is just soooo close I can almost touch it.

Such an amazing experience....
Besides that, my nephew graduates on Friday....like in 3 days Friday!!! I can't believe it. This kid is the absolute love of my life.....yea he's right there with Edgar! He's going to do amazing things and do great in college. We've been getting invitations together and out and we've been planning his graduation party too.
End of the year madness at school is just piling up and piling up! We have soo many meetings about how to properly close our classroom down. We have field day tomorrow and a field trip to Zilker on Friday. There's no school on Monday and I just got an e-mail saying that the ladies at work are throwing me a bridal shower next Wednesday! Between all this mess, and stuff I need to do before the end of the year I don't know when I'll have time to finish. As much as I don't want too, I see coming in on Saturday and Sunday is something I......er we(edgar and whoever else I'm going to guilt into).....are just gonna have to do!
Yesterday Edgar and I went to the apartment place to fill out the application and put down the deposit for our BRAND NEW place!!! We will be the first renters there because the complex is soo new and I can't be more excited. We aren't moving in until July 15th, which is only 4 days after the wedding...am I crazy!?!?! There was actually logical thinking behind this plan, like having extra help to move, just taking our wedding gifts there, starting a new beginning together.....but I think it's going to be overwhelming.
Oh yea, and I also got hired to work summer school, and we get paid on July 2nd. The last day of summer school will be July 1st and we will only have 10 days until the wedding. The RSVP's are coming in....slowly. The deadline is the 1st of June and we got our first wedding gift in the mail yesterday! It's all just soo surreal, but exciting at the same time.

Had to post
In other news, the only major things to do are make some final vendor payments, a couple of DIY projects, programs(which falls into the DIY category) and finish up getting groomsman gifts and OOT bags. I can't believe I'm almost down to the 2 month mark. It's kind of making me anxious that my ticker will say 1 month and something. I'm really excited to see all the family from CA and especially to get back their RSVP's because even though they have bought their plane tickets...it won't actually hit me until they actually send them back and I have them in my hands.
Okay, I gotta go sulk because my Celtics lost! Love ya.

91 & 90

Well today was pretty much a regular Easter for us. We meet up at the Park, stuff our faces with BBQ and play a nice family friendly game of kickball which we usually just take "intermission" and NEVER start the game back up! :) It's fun and tradition.
